Peter Pan is flying away this week to a party in the city.

“Peter Pan doesn’t have leather wrist cuffs!”
“But darling, he’s going to a party, you’d expect him to make an effort!”
(A lot of men seem to love wearing leather cuffs, it adds more to their costumes)
Depending on the party, one can dress any character up or down relating to the type of party and the people who’ll be there.
“Do you have a sword?” he says..
“Peter Pan doesn’t have a sword!” says his girlfriend.
but aHaahh! How does he fight Captain Hook then?
“Do you have a wooden sword?” he asks, looking up expectantly.
“Yes! The answer is yes! – but wait, it’s in my imagination…let me just make a quick call to one of my woodworking contacts”
So I’m on the phone talking to Agent Foo: “I’ll make you a sword,” he says “but you’ll have to take a bond, and tell your clients not to fight with it. They’ll dint it and lose their bond!”
“Well, what’s the point of that then? Who cares if it’s got dints? It’s an imaginary sword!”
“I’m just saying, it will be a beautiful sword, take care of it”
“Well don’t make it too beautiful, It’s a big kids imaginary plaything.”
Three days later, the sword arrived!

And now I’m staining it with some Traditional Stain, Craftsman finish, just for that extra professional touch.
(Never-mind I accidentally sprayed the sword with contact adhesive instead of varnish the first time around. I couldn’t work out why it was so sticky! Was it a reaction to the stain?? Had to remove it somehow and re-spray the darn thing! We got there in the end.)
