How can I dress to the 1920’s Great Gatsby twenties theme on a small budget?
You may have a dress or suit you could already wear. Adding a hat, and maybe a white tie is all you may need to bring the twenties to a suit you already own, or could borrow.
Women may already have a nice dress in their wardrobe they can accessorise. The straight up and down cut of a flapper dress does not suit all body shapes, especially the more curvaceous body types. Don’t worry! There are actually more styles than the flapper dress worn in the twenties. You could go for a long or short slinky gown, and accesorise accordingly. Add layers of beads, long gloves, and some kind of feathered decadence in your hair. Often women find they have what they need in their wardrobe already, it’s just a matter of mixing it up a bit.
