After taking the client’s measurements I drew up a pattern to match the sketch we made together.
A week later, the client came in for a fitting and then we marked where the holes (for pole to body grip) were to go, later that afternoon she was able to pick up the finished leotard.
Cutting and sewing the holes can be tricky, you need to leave the right amount of seam allowance and stitch the elastic in at the correct tension – not too tightly and not too loose, just enough for it to sit in the right place when you fold it back and make the final stitch.
This skill takes plenty of experience to get it sitting correctly.
The client then purchased and attached the diamontes herself with great result!
