I get asked to make costumes other stylists and designers can’t find or don’t have time to order in. That often means fast turn around.
This time I was asked to make a stripey jumpsuit for a Strongman character, in this case played by the real Russian Circus Strongman who happened to be in town in time for the shoot! His chest measurement was off the scale, so a bit of guess work was required when scaling out my patterns. I also had to make jumpsuit to the other scale. A fitting was required on the day, and adjustments made on the day before shoot.

I ended up making two jumpsuits in the smaller size, so the director could choose between fabric patterns on the day.

They couldn’t find fabric with the best thickness stripe, so I had to cut strips and sew them together for the costume.

They also hired a one off Agent Costume made burlesque costume for the gorgeous model.
