Alice in Culinary Land, a deliciously costumed dinner party event was held at Studio Neon in Waterloo.
Sat at one long big table, a group of 60 people sat together and feasted on a vast array of various and unusual dishes.
Place settings were garnished with playing cards, and a Beetroot and wasabi macaroon sitting a top a sign that read “eat me!”
I’m not going to go into all the amazing food combinations, this isn’t a food blog, but in the near future I may post more photos to give an idea of the lay out and imagination.
The thing I most enjoyed was that dress up was encouraged, and there were rabbits, mad hatters, and Alices galore, as well as the odd few interesting characters in body suits and tutus, mad hats and scarves. All guests of the mad tea party, yay!
Yes, in fact I will chase up some photos, costumes make event photos, and looking back on memories, more fun.
And a costume doesn’t have to be complicated or specially store hired (though it can definitely help to receive help from an expert)
All this party required was a little sparkle. Wear a special dress or suit you don’t get to wear often, add a massive scarf, tie it in a bow and add a broach! Put a ribbon on your hair, or a Funky headpiece of some kind.
Bring some unusual!
