So, you’re going to Playground Weekender.
You’ve got your tickets, you’ve got your tepee, now what are you going to wear?!
Well, that depends entirely on YOU!
You could leave it to the last minute and:
– fret about whether you’ve picked the right thing to wear or not in such a hurry
– worry that you’ve been left with the less than the best to choose from
or,
You can plan ahead, leave it in the bag and BUST it out exactly when you need it.
Yeah!
That’s being prepared!
And leaves your mind free to sort out other last minute festival details, should they arise.
If you’re concerned about what you pick and what other people might think, then prepare your outfits with some friends, and create your own tribe.
Nobody else will be worrying about you, they’ll be too busy trying to fit in with you anyway!

Now, what would I take to a festival like Playground Weekender?
History tells us that the days are likely to be hot, luckily there is a river nearby and lots of water fun to be had. So, pack your bathers – or swimmers or togs, what ever you call them, and pick an outfit you can wear around it.
You’ll need gear that is light and easy to dance in.
You’ll need pockets or a belt bag to keep your party purse in.
You may need a cloak, or jacket or cape, or shrug, to wrap around your shoulders in case, for what ever reason, the weather should become cool.
Shrugs are great, they can keep you warm, or double as shade for your shoulders if the sun gets bright. If it gets really hot, you can wet them and walk around in coolness as the wet evaporates in the breeze as you move.
And take a hat! A big brim can be such a relief when the sun beams down.
I always take 2 pairs of socks just incase the weather gets funny, it’s always comforting to snuggle your feet in cosy warmness. It’s a simple luxury, and a small amount of luggage to carry even should it not be needed in the end. Should the need arise, and comfy feet are important to you, then you’ll be glad you came prepared with your closed toed shoes to help keep your sockies dry.
I’m going to take a pocket poncho also, just in case.
Coconut oil!
I like to put this on at twilight when the sun goes down and the light disappears slowly into the ether, to moisturise, and to keep an air of the tropics about me.
It’s a magical time twilight.
When day transforms into night, another world appears.
Toiletries:
Soap or cleanser.
Moisturiser, though I’ve been assured, this can be found at the Powder Room too should you forget some.
Sunscreen – also available at the Powder Room, organic of course!
Don’t forget Tooth brush and toothpaste
Towel: for poolside action
Tweezers: splinters.
Teatree oil: because I’m a hippy. I use it for cuts, scrapes or splinters, or itchy mossie bites.
Lavender oil: I put a tiny little drop on my pillow and sleep beautifully.
Clothing:
Light and breezy clothing you can chuck on over your bathers.
Sandals, or thongs.

Our prices are great because we’re in competition with each other. So take advantage.
